An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

prevention

Patients with a family history of heart disease often wonder about their own risk. We carefully screen patients with a family history, history of rheumatic fever, irregular heart beats, vocational risks (lead and metal exposures, high stress), sleep apnea, hypertension, and diabetes for signs of heart disease and/or a significant personal concern.

Testing to identify risks includes advanced heart lab testing, imaging, EKG, secondary risk assessment, carotid intimal thickness, and underlying health status.

Many patients are advised to work with a cardiologist and upon return to our office, we help develop a workable preventative plan.

known heart disease

Once stabilized by cardiology, and working in tandem with the cardiologist, supporting measures may be added and a complimentary plan can be created.

For some people EDTA Chelation may be appropriate.
